Take on education system for my daughter

This year I'm in my first foray into "education" so to speak. My daughter will be 7 next year, meaning that it is primary in July this year, I want to be like other parents in the country I VY place at the school for my daughter.

In recent years I had to quickly understand how the education system in Singapore, which has changed a lot since I was little.

Before I become a parent, I never thought it would be so "difficult" to get the child in my school. I had my first taste when we were choosing a daycare for our daughter. We had to put her in day care before, when she turned 3 over 1.5 years, it was too late, was already on the waiting list. I thought to myself .... really?

When I first read about how to subscribe to the school and learned quickly about who should go first. It was a little intimidating and scary. It was also the time I registered for each group of students that I have! I think better safe than sorry. Do you believe that some of the associations go up $ 1000? Investing in the future for my children, I told myself.

Just the other day at the show (AM Live!) Talked about some options in other places around the world in education. There is no perfect system, each with advantages and disadvantages. There is a very rigid structure, while others are very inexpensive approach to everything. I think we both worked before a key ingredient of fun - the parents! Education system can only do so much for your child, you should do it too. The rest is for us as parents. We teach them and help them too. We can not outsource the whole thing and go to school only part of the process.

In my opinion, we have learned much from our environment and people around us. Our parents played a major role in shaping our view of life. Many do not go to the "big" schools has proven to be good leaders. They were inspired and motivated to learn.

I hope to encourage children and motor. I hope to do, showing them the relevance of the learners, showing them that they can enjoy learning. I hope that the roughness and the peer pressure from other people and the local education system to reduce the joy of learning them. When it was all so difficult to learn.

Well, I got my head around how things work here in Singapore, and I think we'll be ok. But come July, I'm sure I'll show some nerves with other parents in the country!
